Ready refers to the Rent Ready Program, a program that we created to help the community learn how to apply for affordable housing in Alexandria successfully. Housing Alexandria offers the Rent Ready program to reduce the attrition rate, and make sure that the people who need affordable housing are able to get affordable housing.

Stable refers to the many different programs and initiatives Housing Alexandria provides our residents to allow them to build and grow their housing stability. This includes annual and quarterly events such as Back2School, Resource Fairs, Holiday Distributions, Eviction Prevention, and more!

Own refers to Housing Alexandria’s Homeownership program. Through this program, we provide opportunities for Alexandrians to transition from renters to homeowners. We offer a path to everyone that lives or works in Alexandria to become a first-time home buyer.

All of Housing Alexandria’s Resident Services is informed by the residents. That is how we are able to make the greatest impact, including:

• Over 500 individuals served through the Rent Ready program
• Over 2,500 lbs of produce harvest yearly from our community gardens
• Over 200 backpacks and school supplies provided to the children who live at our properties
• Over 400 people enrolling in our Homeownership Education classes per year
