Jonathan Frederick, Executive Director
Jon has over ten years of experience in the affordable housing and urban planning fields. Prior to joining AHDC, Jon worked as the director of development for Volunteers of America where he oversaw all real estate development activities for the organization in the mid-Atlantic region. Jon has extensive experience in both the development entitlement process and affordable housing finance. Jon sits on the Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee, the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance Advisory Committee, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
Aaron Remolona, Project Manager
Aaron Remolona has over seven years of experience in real estate finance and asset management. Prior to joining AHDC, Aaron worked as an Associate at Clark Realty Capital, overseeing the financial performance of a public-private real estate partnership at Fort Belvoir, VA. Before working at CRC, Aaron worked for Sunrise Senior Living as an Analyst on the Capital Markets and Investments Team, performing valuations of real estate asset during all stages of the investment process.
Daniel Hennig - Director of Finance
Daniel Hennig has over ten years of experience in public accounting and corporate finance. Originally from CT, Daniel worked in the audit practice of a mid-size regional public accounting firm upon graduating from Southern Connecticut State University in 2008. However, after several busy seasons, he decided he ultimately wanted to be a controller one day and lead the accounting team for an organization. Since then, Daniel has been with several organizations as an accountant, including a large political think tank, a small public health organization, and most recently, an asset management company in the transportation industry.
Garth Robinson, Asset Manager
Garth has over nine years’ experience working in real estate. His overall background includes property management, market analysis, budgeting and financial analysis. Prior to joining AHDC, Garth worked as a property manager for Donohoe Real Estate Services, overseeing the management of various asset types for federal and private tenants. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and completed his Masters at Georgetown.
Kayla Hornbrook, Communications and Development Manager
Kayla Hornbrook has three years of non-profit program operations and development experience. Prior to AHDC, she worked for the Salvation Army in both Seattle, Washington and Alexandria, Virginia as a program coordinator, overseeing program operation and design, managing volunteers and student staff, and creating digital media. She received her bachelor's from the University of Washington, Seattle.
Elisa Mondragon, Operations Manager
Elisa Mondragon recently made the move to Alexandria from New York City where she worked at Whole Foods Market in their Marketing team helping educate customers and the community on healthy eating, holistic health, and environmental stewardship through the development of community programs with The New York Botanical Garden, Westchester County Parks, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture and the Bronx County School District among many others. Her work with nonprofit organizations started in 2006 where she worked with the Community Arts Center of Las Vegas while obtaining two bachelors from UNLV.
Robert F. Grady, Real Estate Development Associate
Robert has over six years’ experience working in real estate. His overall background includes sustainability implementation, financial and market analysis, and architectural design. Prior to joining AHDC he worked in clean energy financing at Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Real Estate, in addition to designing properties for disaster-relief and residential architecture firms. He gained his Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and performed graduate studies in interior architecture at the George Washington University prior to completing his Master’s in Sustainable Real Estate Development at NYU’s Schack Institute.
Jordan O’Hanlon, AmeriCorps VISTA
Jordan O’Hanlon recently graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and a focus in economic development. Prior to joining AHDC as an AmeriCorps VISTA, she has experience contributing to grant writing, planning fundraising events, and providing administrative support at various nonprofits in Tacoma, Washington.
