| AHDC is committed to providing services to the community at large.
The Station Community Room Rental
When The Station was designed, space was planned for a community room that would also be available to community and civic groups for meeting space. The fee is $25. Contact Moriah Margerum at thestation@equitymgmt.com or 703-751-0003 for community room availability and amenities available in the room. The room can be divided into two separate spaces and can accommodate up to 45 persons.
Neighborhood Serving Commercial Space
The Station contains a first floor commercial space that was planned to be leased out to a community serving commercial tenant. AHDC is delighted that the space has been leased to Edward Jones, Financial Analysts.
Neighborhood Serving Open Space
There is an open space/park on the north side of the grounds of The Station that is available to local community residents.
Collaboration with City and Community Organizations
We work closely with the City's Office of Housing, partner with Rebuilding Together Alexandria, and, because of the multi-use situation in The Station, ongoing collaboration with the City of Alexandria Fire Department and the residents is managed by AHDC. We anticipate more community involvement with new groups in the years to come.
